Zambia — ZYCALA: wild Miombo honey

A three-year project (Gaia Education, YEFI, WWF Zambia, funded by the Scottish Government) in Zambia’s Central Province. Around 500 young beekeepers — a high proportion of them women — trained in sustainable beekeeping in the Miombo forests, together with the construction of a honey processing facility meeting Zambian and European standards, opening the way for “ZYCALA Miombo Honey” to reach ethical European markets.
