Odisha, India — THREAD: turmeric and tribal women’s enterprise in Koraput

Working alongside THREAD India, Orissa Nari Samaj and Gaia Education to support a social enterprise run entirely by tribal women in Koraput district: production and marketing of turmeric powder and other processed products (ragi, triphala). Support towards urban and international markets — strengthening food security, social cohesion and climate resilience in the communities. The producers’ turmeric was showcased at the COP26 exhibition in Glasgow (2021).
